        報告題目:Pattern formation in Anabaena, a one-dimensional cyanobacterial organism 

        專家簡介: 

        Prof. Joel Stavans教授就職于以色列魏茨曼研究院復雜系統物理系。1986年畢業于美國芝加哥大學,獲博士學位;1986年至1989年在美國匹茲堡大學和意大利帕維亞大學從事博士后研究。Prof. Joel Stavans早期從事物理學方向研究,后轉至生物學領域,其團隊利用單細胞追蹤技術結合數學建模來研究生物學的一系列現象。最近開始利用魚腥藍細菌作為模式,研究異形胞的格式形成及群體行為,為該領域的定量生物學奠定了基礎。本次報告為一次典型的跨學科領域報告,結合了物理學、生物學及數學多個領域。
